Unlike all of the online businesses shipping from other states, Sacks Crawfish will deliver crawfish, and the owner will talk to you in person and can supply a pot, burner, propane, guidance, seasoning, and any other needs.
Sacks Crawfish wants to guide you in the ways of the boil start to finish. A crawfish boil can be simple dinner in the backyard or a prolonged formal gathering of family and friends into the evening. Either way, crawfish boils and seafood have always been about friends and family gathering and socializing over a terrific meal. That’s the Cajun experience that Sacks Crawfish wants to help you create.
You can get crawfish almost anywhere, but Sacks Crawfish offers a personalized touch to add magic to your event. We’ll help you create a new family tradition, with a Cajun twist.
There is nothing wrong with farm raised crawfish but Sacks Crawfish will give you the choice of wild caught as well. What does that mean? The crawfish you get have been processed after you order and shipped with less time sitting in a sack. That means you get a fresher product with less loss. We are a local Reno business supporting other local businesses and rely on a good reputation for quality products.
What do you need for 25 pounds?
- 30 to 32 quart turkey frier pot with basket
- Burner with propane
- Table with newspaper
- Large garbage can
A 30 to 32 quart turkey frier pot with a basket will easily boil around 10 to 12 lbs of crawfish including a half of a small sack of potatoes, 2 to 3 onions, 2 lemons, and 3 to 5 corn cobs. Using this size pot, you would make two batches. If you are feeding 4 to 6 people, this should be sufficient.
Estimated prep time: 1 hour
Estimated cook time: 30 minutes (5-7 min boil and 15 to 20 minute soak)
Not everyone has a 60, 80, or 100 quart pot sitting around. For a larger crawfish boil, a small pot can be time consuming.
No need to worry, Sacks Crawfish has equipment available for rent or purchase.
Sacks Crawfish’s primary objective is to provide customers with a memorable social dining experience. We will provide the guidance, equipment, seasonings, and a piece of mind so you can have an enjoyable, stress-free experience.
We have been trying to supply live crawfish from Lake Tahoe fished by local fisherman. It has been difficult to acquire the crawfish as regulations and requirements for fishing them is enforced with much oversight. This coupled with the cost of equipment and low demand creates a less than desirable business endeavor and we don’t want their efforts wasted. Sacks Crawfish wants to help you try something new.
